I am sitting in Sarah's New York dorm listening to the hilarity that are her friends and dorm mates and thinking about the adventure I am about to embark on at 6:25 P.M. tomorrow evening. Aside from the massive headache I currently have, I am excited and have quite the bundle of nerves forming in the pit of my stomach. This blogging is going to start off a little slow, but once I have more to talk about this will be in full swing! I have had a great adventure already. I got to New York on Tuesday afternoon and went to eat lunch with Murph and her roommate Nina at "The Coffee Shop". It is run, owned, and handled by models. Yes, legitimate super models. A requirement for employment at "The Coffee Shop" is a model book/portfolio. Disclaimer: models aren't the best servers, but they were gorgeous and the food was good. That night we made (twisting and rolling and folding) our own pretzels! The company and pretzels were amazing. Today I went with Murph across (and back over) the Brooklyn Bridge and then we went to visit her apartment in the quaint neighborhood of Williamsburg. The apartment was amazing and I went up a ladder (to get to the roof) for the first time in years. After visiting the apartment, we went to Beacon's Closet (a swanky thrift store) and browsed through the sea of never-ending colors ad fabrics. I made pretzels for the first time, had sushi, Thai, and Indian food for the first time in only a few short days...and loved ALL of it. It's been a wonderful trip and I am off across the pond tomorrow! I appreciate all continued thoughts and prayers. Xxox.
